Translation in progress…
We support our customers in their Shared Diagnosis process.
Why embark on a shared diagnosis?
- Because, as a manager, I need to get my team on board with an important project, a cultural or organizational transformation.
In fact, a SharedDiagnosis gets everyone on board! Whether or not the diagnosis is participative in form, the fact that it is shared in substance by all enables everyone to understand the overall picture produced while making the link with what they experience in their own situation, and thus activates collaboration.
- Because I see that certain things are seized up in the organization: the situation is so complex that seeing clearly is impossible without a 360 vision.
By nature the Shared Diagnosis must integrate all points of view, and therefore allows a 360 vision. Enriched with this wide-angle vision, it becomes easier to see clearly and find levers of action to set the system in motion, pushing forces and releasing brakes.
- Because, I have the feeling that an emotional factor hinders cooperation in teams.
In its participative version, a Shared Diagnosis relies on the expression of a large number of participants. In this case, each workshop is divided into two parts: a time for expression (Ex-pression = taking the pressure off), followed by a time for analysis, enabling us to look behind the emotion for valuable information to unblock the situation.
Initiating a process like this is not neutral, it will require taking the plunge without fully knowing how to solve the problem, and sincerity, that of listening to and involving employees.
In practical terms, how does this translate?
When a manager has decided to initiate a Shared Diagnosis approach, we make an ad hoc proposal. After meeting with him and listening to what he has to say, we work out a system for generating a shared diagnosis. Overall, this process will be based on 3 verbs:
.- Understand: we seek to gather as many different perceptions of the same reality as possible, to help grasp the complexity of the situation.
- Responsibilizing: the device empowers each participant by giving weight to their words and involving them in the search for possible solutions.
- Act: the purpose of diagnosis is action by preparing the way for useful and lasting decisions.
